HOW TO OPEN A MAILBOX
To open a mailbox, applicant’s should come in with the proper ID (see below) during normal business hours. We ask all applicant’s to come in at least 30 minutes before close to open a box in order to allow enough time to fill out all necessary paperwork.
For applicants over 18, a USPS Postal Form 1583 must be signed by the applicant in front of Mail Cache staff (or a Notary Public) and be on file with The Mail Cache before any mail can be distributed. The Mail Cache cannot receive mail for any person or business that does not have a Postal Form 1583 on file with The Mail Cache. Mail coming in for people who do not have a Postal Form 1583 on file will be Returned to Sender, per postal regulations.
Per U.S. Postal Regulations (USPS Domestic Mail Manual), applicants are required to present two forms of identification from the list below; one must show a valid current physical address.
Below, find a list of valid forms of identification accepted to open a mailbox. All ID’s must be valid and current.
