Since 1981, The Mail Cache has been providing superior mail receiving service to customers in Anchorage, AK, and around the whole world. We offer mailboxes for the single person, families, and businesses.

MAILBOXES

From small 4″ x 5″ boxes to the large 12″ x 12″ boxes, we have a mailbox to fit every mail receiving situation. Only one month minimum payment is required to start up service (plus one time opening fee), although you can pay for as many months in advance as you wish. Or you can pay for a year in advance and receive a discount!

Rates:

• Basic 4″ x 5″ mailbox

  • $22 per month or $220 per year (2 months free when paid by the year).

  • Allows you two last names and up to 25 packages per month.

• Medium 5″ x 12″ mailbox (CURRENTLY SOLD OUT)

  • $33 per month or $330 per year (2 months free when paid by the year).

  • Allows you five last names and up to 35 packages per month.

• Large 12″ x 12″ mailbox (CURRENTLY SOLD OUT)

  • $55 per month or $550 per year (2 months free when paid by the year)

  • Allows you 10 last names and up to 55 packages per month.

Additional Fees:

• Opening Fee: There is a one time $15 fee to open a mailbox. This allows the new box holder access to two keys.

• Keyless Mail Pickup: Customers who forget their keys and/or want to pick-up mail from the counter will be charged a $2 fee.

• Pouch Fee: If you receive more than your allotted packages per a month, there will be a $10 fee for the next 10 packages. Package volume is monitored by The Mail Cache staff. Fees that are not paid will be deducted from box rent.

• Oversized Package Fee: Oversized parcels (those exceeding 108″ length + girth) or overweight parcels (those exceeding 70 lbs) will incur a $10 fee.

DRIVE-THRU

The Mail Cache has the only Drive-Thru mail pick-up window in Alaska. No more dodging ice patches or puddles as you traverse the obstacle course that is an Anchorage parking lot in winter!

The Mail Cache Drive-Thru system is accessed via an easy-to-use outdoor scanner and drive-thru barcode token. You will be given a unique token (barcode/QR code) to scan either physically or digitally off your phone. Once scanned, a light will flash to alert you that your mail is on the way.

Not only can you pick-up your mail, but you can buy stamps or ship small parcels via the drive-thru. All of our regular over-the-counter U.S. Post Office, FedEx and UPS services are completely available from the comfort of your driver’s seat!

Rates:

• Drive-Thru: $2 per month/ $10 per year

• Lamination: For $5, have your drive-thru physical barcode token laminated.

• Regenerate Your Code: Worried someone may be using your code for nefarious reasons? There is a $5 fee to regenerate your token, which means that the token for every person on the box will need to be reset and the old token will no longer work.

MAIL FORWARDING

Customers ranging from Utqiavik to Antartica rely on us for prompt and accurate forwarding of their mail and parcels. Our unique computerized system allows for almost any forwarding contingency possible, and because The Mail Cache can forward what you want, when you want, where you want, and how you want!

We require all forwarding requests to be submitted via our Forwarding Request Form. We request that forwarding customers keep a credit card on file, so when they are ready to have their mail sent, they can submit the Forwarding Request Form and we can immediately charge the card, if needed, then send the mail. No interruptions or pauses, just smooth service for you.

Please remember: Per postal regulations, we cannot accept or forward mail for anyone who has not presented us with their forms of ID, proof of address, or does not have a signed Postal Form 1583 on file with us.

Rates:

• $12.00 per month + Postage Deposit.

  1. • For $12.00 per month, you can have as much mail forwarded as often as you wish for one month’s time; one time only, once a week, every day, or any combination of dates you want.

     • Postage Deposit is an account used to pay for the actual cost to re-bundle and send the mail.

     • Forwarding fees are an additional cost on top of your mailbox rental rates.

Sufficient Postage Deposit must be prepaid, and on account before we can forward mail to you.
